Brick Wall Wisdom #1
Understand Where Your Brick Wall Is.
Have you ever felt like you’ve come up against a brick wall that has stopped you in your tracks?[column col=”1/2″][/column]
These are my lessons from hitting the brick wall and then realising that if I was stronger and paid more attention to where brick walls might occur, I may still hit it but it may not hurt as much. This is going to be a very special ongoing discussion for 2014 on our newsletter, blog and Facebook page.
So where is your Brick Wall?
It wasn’t until I started to feel a lot better that I realised how sick I really was at Christmas. When I’m coaching in organisation I help you decide where things will go so they are logical to find next time you need them. Surprisingly this was also one of my lessons in hitting the brick wall.
I didn’t want to believe that I was as sick as I was (being the glass half full type) so even though my body had hit the wall and was saying “no more please rest!” my mind didn’t want to know where that brick wall was so it kept pushing me on, which probably extended the length of time I was out of action and kept me from enjoying my holiday.
Action: Like getting organised if you take just a little extra few seconds or minutes to maintain where things are kept, in an orderly way it takes far less time to do a recovery of your space or in my case a recovery of health. I now know where my brick wall is. My maintenance now is 100% nourishment goal everyday and take rest and recover when I’m feeling even a little tired. I’ve learnt now that I’m probably a lot tired but the mind wants to keep on going so stop!
Have a great week,
Carolyn
