ADHD productivity coaching is one-to-one coaching that helps adults with ADHD build systems for time, focus, planning and follow-through that suit how their brain works. At Outside the Box Coaching, I deliver it as a Certified ADHD Productivity Coach (CAPC) and ICF Professional Certified Coach (PCC), online across Australia and in person in Perth.
It isn’t generic productivity advice repackaged. It starts with how ADHD affects attention, energy, motivation and executive function, then builds strategies around that.
How is ADHD productivity coaching different from standard productivity advice?
Productivity advice is everywhere. But much of it is built for brains that thrive on consistency, linear thinking and sustained motivation.
Maybe you’re someone who gets things done, often impressive things. You meet deadlines, go beyond expectations and deliver results. But here’s what others might not see: the all-nighters, the cancelled plans, the relationships strained by overcommitment, the anxiety that never quite settles.
You achieve a lot. But it costs you. Many adults with ADHD have learned to compensate brilliantly, but compensation isn’t the same as sustainable productivity. ADHD productivity coaching works with how your energy fluctuates, how your motivation works and why your structure needs flexibility built in.
What does ADHD productivity coaching help with?
Most people come to coaching for one or more of these:
- Starting tasks and getting past procrastination
- Time blindness, planning and realistic scheduling
- Prioritising when everything feels urgent
- Following through and finishing what you start
- Overcommitment and the burnout that follows
- Building routines and systems that last
Together, we might:
- Experiment with structure that bends instead of breaks
- Look at procrastination with curiosity instead of judgment
- Find ways to work with your energy, not against it
- Build systems that fit your actual life, not an idealised version of it
- Rethink what productivity means to you, in ways that honour your wellbeing
What happens in ADHD productivity coaching?
Coaching starts with a free intro call, where we talk through what’s getting in the way and whether coaching is the right fit. From there, we:
- Map how ADHD shows up in your work and life
- Set goals that matter to you
- Design strategies and test them between sessions
- Keep what works and adjust what doesn’t
The ADHD coaching program runs for 6, 12 or 24 weeks.
Is ADHD productivity coaching the same as therapy?
No. Therapy works on mental health, emotional history and healing. Coaching is forward-focused: we work on what matters most to you they might be – goals, habits, sense of self and the practical systems of daily life. Many people use both at the same time. Coaching doesn’t diagnose ADHD or replace medical care.

Who is ADHD productivity coaching for?
Adults with ADHD, whether you were diagnosed as a child, diagnosed later in life, or are still wondering.
Many of the people I work with are professionals and business owners who get a lot done, but at a cost. If you run your own business and want support with the business side, see ADHD business mentoring.
Why work with a certified ADHD productivity coach?
I’ve been working with adults with ADHD for over ten years. In that time, I’ve sat with people who’ve tried everything: every app, every planner, every “foolproof” system. Often, they feel like they’re the ones who are broken when nothing sticks.
I’ve seen the relief that comes when someone finally understands that their brain isn’t defective. It just works differently. That’s why becoming a Certified ADHD Productivity Coach mattered to me. It’s a specialised approach that recognises how ADHD brains actually function.
I completed the Advanced ADHD & Neurodiversity Coach Certification (Level 2) through the Coach Approach Training Institute (CATI), an ICF-accredited Level 2 program aligned with the International Coaching Federation’s standards. It included:
- 125+ hours of advanced coach training
- 10+ hours of mentor coaching focused on ethical and reflective practice
- 500+ client coaching hours supporting people navigating ADHD-related challenges
The training takes a neurodiversity-affirming approach: building self-awareness, understanding how your brain works and developing sustainable, personalised strategies.
Can ADHD productivity coaching be funded in Australia? (new)

What's the difference between an ADHD coach and an ADHD productivity coach?
ADHD productivity coaching is a focus within ADHD coaching. It centres on time, planning, task management and follow-through. In my coaching it sits alongside the wider work on confidence, energy and wellbeing.
If you’ve ever felt stuck, overwhelmed, or like every productivity system was designed for someone else’s brain, you’re right. Most of them were.
You’re not lazy. You’re not broken. You’re not failing. You’re working with a brain that needs a different approach. That’s not a flaw. It’s just information.
If you’d like to explore what that looks like for you, book a free intro call.
